I've been walking about twice a week, over 1.5 miles each time. It's so hard to get up at 5 am to do it, though. Fortunately, the husband snores and can often be counted on to be annoying enough that I'll get up even if I don't want to.
I've made it to my "gym" three times a week for two weeks.
Got to work on the food thing.

Another Brick In The Fitness Wall
Recently Mike has decided to start going to yoga. He really enjoys it. So last night, I decided to go with him. I enjoyed myself for the most part. Some of the positions are a little difficult to get into as I have more of me to maneuver; such as sun salutation, lunge position, and bow position. But, I do love me some downward facing dog.
The "instructor" was nice and wasn't too rough.
Yoga's cool 'cause you can take your time and tailor your work-out to your own ability level.
Mike and I are probably going to make a routine of Thursday night yoga.

UP? Seriously?
SO UNFAIR! I have been exercising everyday! And I'm UP in weight. :( Boooo.
I'm up to 239.2; not cool.
Oh well, I'll just keep trying. At some point in the very near future I'm going to have to work on my eating habits, but for now I'm happy just trying to build healthy active habits like walking.
I'm going to go to Yoga tomorrow night with Mike as well. It's $10.oo for an hour and a half.

Still plugging away....
I'll weigh in tomorrow at lunch time, meanwhile, I'm still trying to do some form of exercise everyday. I just walked w/ my coworker Manuel for 30 minutes and, man, he walks FAST!
I walked just about everyday while I was on vacation, I don't think I skipped any days at all actually! GO ME! I had dance class on Saturday, and Maris totally put us through the wringer. My calves are still upset with her.
I don't dread the thought of being active now, so repetition has served some purpose. Hopefully the scale will be friendly tomorrow.

still not running
But, I did get up this morning and walk. 5 am! I walked over a mile and a half. I'm embarrassed to admit it took me over a half an hour. I'm so out of shape! Of course, even when I was much thinner in college, a mile took me over 15 minutes. The college tested us and I had to take a half-semester of a fitness class in order to graduate (I did water aerobics). We didn't have much of a core curriculum, but the Wellness components were there.
I'll be walking again tomorrow. My goal is to improve my fitness level in the next few weeks so that I can start running in early April. If all goes to plan, I hope to be able to run with my company at the Chase Corporate Challenge June 10 or 11.
I told Hubby last night that I was going to get up early this morning to walk and that if it went well in a few weeks I would try to jog. He said he didn't think that would be a good idea with my feet. I said I was going to try and if it hurt, I would stop. I don't know why he thinks I'm going to do something that hurts, I'm totally not that person.
